About

I qualified as a clinical hypnotherapist in early 2011 and have been working in Andover in private practice since then. Although hypnotherapy work will always be my first love, i found that it can sometimes be limited in who it works for and because it is an alternative form of psychotherapy, there were a lot of myths and misconceptions around how it works and what it consists of.

Because of this I decided to branch out and completed a BSc (Hons) which included modules on neuroanatomy, sports psychology and clinical psychology with the aim to understand more about how the brain works. In 2021 I graduated with an MSc in psychology with clinical applications which allowed me to register with the British Psychological Society as a working psychologist. As well as my degrees, I have also completed undergraduate qualifications in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy and counselling.

To further expand my knowledge I am also currently completing an MA in integrative counselling and psychotherapy at the University of Roehampton in oder to future proof my qualifications as the psychotherapy and counselling professions move towards better regulation.

Common issues I work with include generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), panic attacks, social anxiety, health anxiety, phobias, performance anxiety such as public speaking or competing and anxiety around specific events such as driving tests or speaking at a wedding.

As well as qualifications it is important that you feel comfortable and confident working with any psychological therapist. My clients report that I am an empathetic listener and non-judgmental, I am also able to adapt my approach depending on what you feel you need most. I would strongly recommend booking the free phone consultation so that we can see if we are a good fit to work together.

In 2017, my husband and I bought the clinic we were working from and created YMYB Health and Wellness Centre. Our clinic has three treatment rooms and I am fortunate enough to work with a chiropractor, sports therapist and an aromatherapist in a clinic designed to work with Your Mind and Your Body.

As well as my work I also volunteer with the Andover Riding for the Disabled branch, where I am currently training to be a coach and help organise two of our children’s rides. I also ran the 2020 Virtual London Marathon to raise money for the branch as it struggled through lockdown.

My volunteer work means that I have also undergone extensive safeguarding training and have a clear, enhanced DBS check.

What People Say

Both myself and my driving instructor firmly agree that me passing my test was due to the support and guidance received from Siobhan. She was incredible at putting my worries into perspective and helping me realise that my anxiety was something I could control. I can not recommend her enough!!

I needed somebody desperately to offer me guidance to steady myself. Siobhan helped me make sense of my Anxious self, to normalise it and give me the tools to make life a lot easier. Siobhan offers a very calming antidote to the muddled me I presented to her, which worked wonders in making me a better version of myself! Thank you.

Went for several sessions and found an improvement in myself very quickly. Have been provided with some very simple techniques that I have taken in to real life situations so that I can manage myself so much better. Since then I have not looked back. I really cannot recommend highly enough.
